CUSTOM GLASS SHOWER ENCLOSURES

A custom glass shower enclosure is the perfect upgrade for any bathroom to modernize, increase appearance of room size and generally increase property value.

Our laser measurement system is applied carefully to ensure that all site measurements are accurate. All tile work must be fully complete before our site measurements can be performed to ensure the tightest possible fit to reduce water leakage. We offer a time and dollar saving phone consultation BEFORE you renovate so that you can gain an understanding of structural and design components to bear in mind when you are contemplating a new build, renovation or upgrade.

A time frame of 5 business days from site measurement, and the required deposit payment, up to as much as 2 weeks is needed for the manufacture of custom glass. We suggest that clients plan accordingly and select glass based on the ability to wait for special orders such as rainfall glass. We would be pleased to discuss your needs, wants and goals to ensure that your expectations are met. Our scheduling is often several weeks in advance and it remains our goal to complete your project on time so planning ahead is crucial to our mutual success!

NEO-ANGLE UNIT

Some elements to consider when designing your custom glass shower enclosure:

- A door cannot be hinged off of a fixed panel using glass-to-glass hinges unless the fixed panel is supported at the top

- Depending on the size of your desired glass shower door, additional hinges may need to be added to the design to support the weight of the glass

- When using wall mount hinges, a straight edge must be applied to the wall that the hinges will be mounted on

- When using wall-mount hinges, ensure that the wall has a wood stud behind it, or the surface substrate is thick enough to accommodate appropriate screw anchors

- A door can be hinged using a combination of wall-mount and glass-to-glass hinges, but certain design conditions must be in place so be sure to consult one of our technicians during the design stage of your project

- With neo-angle shower enclosures consisting of a knee wall, wall-mount hinges can be used only if the knee wall is mitered at a 45 degree angle

- When using wall-mount hinges with a combination towel-bar/pull, consideration must be given as to whether or not the towel bar closest to the hinges will hit the wall

- When using wall-mount hinges on a wall that also has a towel-bar mounted on it, consideration must be given as to whether the towel bar will be hit by the door when it opens fully

- When using glass-to-glass hinges, we do not recommend using a pivot point of over 5 degrees

- U-channels and glass clamps are an important safety measure depending on the size of the desired enclosure, our technicians will work with you to achieve the look you are after but we may suggest additional components to ensure your glass shower is safe for years to come!

- Glass cannot be ordered until the completed (tiled) shower enclosure is measured for fit by an experienced installer, so it is important to consult with our technicians throughout the planning stages of your project

- There are options available to keep the cost of your glass shower enclosure manageable, while at the same time achieve an elegant look. An example would be having the shower door hinges attached to the tile, as opposed to another piece of glass. Glass-to-glass hinge designs are typically more costly in terms of material and labour

- Another way to reduce the cost of your shower enclosure would be in the choice of hardware finish. Chrome and brushed nickel are the two most popular finishes on the market and, because of their popularity, they carry a lower cost versus other finishes such as antique brass or oiled rubbed bronze
